Fotofacial & Photorejuvenation
Fotofacial, Photofacial, and photorejuvenation are light-based treatments using an intense pulsed light (IPL). Fotofacial reduces a number of age-related conditions of the skin, including brown spots, age spots, freckles, broken capillaries, spider veins, and large pores. Typically a series of 4-5 monthly Fotofacial treatments are performed to give the optimal cosmetic results. No down-time is typically required after Fotofacial procedures. Although Fotofacial treatments can reduce appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, they are not the optimal treatment for wrinkle reduction.

Photodynamic Therapy & Intensive Fotofacial
Intensive Fotofacial treatments accelerate the effects of Fotofacial by using photodynamic therapy (PDT) through the application of Levulan to the skin prior to the procedure. Levulan is a photosensitizing agent, and when applied to the skin prior to Fotofacial treatments, it works to activate the light to produce highly charged radical oxygen atoms - expediting the treatment of irregular pigmentation, aging skin, and pre-cancerous skin caused by sun damage. Intensive Fotofacials also have been used by people of all ages to dramatically reduce the appearance of acne.

laser Resurfacing
Laser resurfacing is the most powerful wrinkle treatment for aging skin. Laser resurfacing involves use of ablative lasers such as the carbon dioxide (CO2) and Erbium (Er:YAG) lasers to vaporize and remove the top layer of the skin. This resurfacing procedures leaves the skin raw for about a week, but stimulates growth of a new layer of skin and a new layer of collagen which dramatically rejuvenate aging skin. Up to two weeks of downtime may be needed after laser resurfacing.
For those of us requiring less downtime, we offer fractional resurfacing which does not leave the skin raw and typically has a 4-5 day recovery period.

Non-Ablative Laser Wrinkle Reduction
Laser wrinkle reduction is also possible with no downtime. Our Syneron Polaris laser is a non-ablative wrinkle-reduction laser that uses the powerful blend of two types of energy - Diode laser and Radiofrequency. The 900 nm wavelength diode laser and the bipolar radiofrequency target the dermal collagen layer of the skin. Typically a series of 4-5 monthly Polaris laser treatments are performed to stimulate collagen production by the skin. Although the results are not often not as dramatic as laser resurfacing, the greatest appeal of Polaris to most patients is the fact that there is no downtime.
Thermage
Thermage is another way to improve skin tone and texture without any downtime. Thermage is in reality not a laser. Thermage (Thermacool) is a radiofrequency (RF) device that can stimulate deep collagen production and treat skin laxity on the face and body. Thermage face lift and Thermage body lift are non-surgical alternatives for people who want a minimally invasive solution to skin laxity.

Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal is performed using non-ablative laser and IPL devices that specifically target the pigment in hair follicles. Hair removal lasers and IPL devices selectively destroy the hair follicles while attempting to minimize damage to the skin. Whereas most Seattle laser hair removal clinics offer only one type of hair removal laser, our clinic offers a number of lasers with different characteristics to effectively treat each skin type. Our fleet of hair removal lasers and IPL devices can perform hair removal at a number of wavelengths including 645 nm, 695 nm, 755 nm, and 810 nm. The higher numbers are safer and more ideal for darker skin types.

Laser Face Vein Removal
Laser vein removal is performed on the face using non-ablative IPL devices that specifically target the pigment inside red blood cells, selectively destroying broken face veins and spider veins while attempting to minimize damage to the skin. Whereas most Seattle laser vein removal clinics offer only one type of vein removal devices, our clinic offers a number of devices with different characteristics to effectively treat each type of blood vessel. Our fleet of face vein removal IPL devices can perform laser vein removal at a number of wavelengths including 560 nm, 590 nm, and 1064 nm.
Rosacea Laser Treatment
Rosacea is a skin condition that can produce a number of vascular charges on the face. Rosacea gives the skin a ruddy complexion and can result in facial flushing. Rosacea can make facial skin appear thicker and can result in large pores. Rosacea treatment is performed using non-ablative IPL devices that target the hemoglobin pigment inside red blood cells, selectively destroying enlarged face veins, spider veins, and capillaries associated with rosacea.
Laser Leg Vein Removal
Laser leg vein removal is performed using non-ablative IPL devices that specifically target the pigment inside red blood cells, selectively destroying broken leg veins and spider veins while attempting to minimize damage to the skin. Whereas most Seattle laser leg vein removal clinics offer only one type of leg vein removal devices, our clinic offers a number of devices with different characteristics to effectively treat each type of blood vessel. Our fleet of leg vein removal IPL devices can perform laser leg vein removal at a number of wavelengths including 560 nm, 590 nm, and 1064 nm. We can also assist you in diagnosis and treatment of varicose leg veins, varicose vein surgery, and sclerotherapy.
Laser Brown Spot Removal
Laser brown spot removal is performed using non-ablative IPL devices that specifically target the abnormal skin pigment that causes age spots, liver spots, and brown spots while attempting to minimize damage to the skin.
